Environmental Health Consulting - HEALTHIER spaces can improve your well being!

More good books:
1) My latest favourite (oh, isn't summer a great time to read...): July 2010; Milham, Samuel; Dirty Electricity; Electrification and the Diseases of Civilization
I LOVE historical epidemiology, so it's a good read, plus, it's short (becuase I get started into many books at the same time - this one is easy to finish!)

1) 2010; Boyd, David R.; Dodging the Toxic Bullet; how to protect yourself from everyday environmental health hazards,  Greystone Books, Vancouver Canada

- I would recommend it to everyone
- a Canadian book, very thorough, accurate and well written
- and, no, I do not accept endorsements, referral fees, %ages, kick-backs, of any kind.

Great videos and documentaries:
1)"The Story of Cosmetics" , 2010a 7-minute film exposing the ugly truth about personal care products – brought to you by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, Annie Leonard’s Story of Stuff Project, and Free Range Studios.

From Rick Smith, Executive Director of Environmental Defense
"While Canada does somewhat better than the U.S., many of the issues outlined in The Story of Cosmetics are Canadian problems too... The good news is that Canada is currently updating its Cosmetics Regulations...now is the time to ask the federal government for better protection from harmful substances in cosmetics and personal care products."
You can help by sharing the video, and lobbying for change (sign the environmental Defence "Just Beautiful" petition).

2) Child health and exposures

2) "Controlling our Food", a 2007 film (1 hr, 49 min.)
- exposing Monsanto, Genetically modified crops, and Bovine Growth hormones:

3) "Chemerical", 2009 - about a family who gives up commercial cleaners and personal care products.

Created by Andrew Niskar, film-maker (of the film "Garbage"), this is great film for anyone to see. This film is funny and entertaining, and it will help you make some changes that will improve your health.
